During Phase 2, you will deepen your knowledge of language politics (or another topic) and practice engaging in academic research. You are asked to determine the audience and genre of your rhetorical situation and to them work to meet the expectations of this audience (or to intentionally not). Ultimately, you will locate and evaluate sources and compose the Synthesis Essay, which involves you introducing ideas/content, integrating and synthesizing sources, guiding readers, making clear your stance, and citing sources.
Note: you should have access to all readings & all assignments every class (in print or on your laptop/phone). This is because we’ll likely refer back to previous assignments/readings.
Note: “GC” stands for “Google Classroom.”
Note: Work highlighted in blue CANNOT be submitted late or made up. There’s a lot for Phase 2!
